C&S Events: State of NY Finance

Will New York’s finances be steady in the Trump era? City & State held its “State of New York Finance” event on February 21, 2017 to find an answer to that question and more. The panel was moderated by City & State editor-in-chief Jon Lentz, and it features state Assemblyman Robert Rodriguez, President & CEO of Amalgamated Bank Keith Mestrich, and the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Pensions and Investments, John Adler.

C&S Events: On Public Safety

One February 1, City & State held its On Public Safety event, featuring expert panels discussing community policing, cybersecurity, anti-terrorism efforts and more. Here, we bring you one panel from the event, featuring New York City Councilman Jumaane Williams, Assemblyman Joe Lentol, Karen Shaer of the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice and Charles Bohnenberger of Allied Universal.

The panelists discussed how to engage and activate community members as equal partners in the fight against crime, touching on themes like neighborhood policing and increased community engagement for officers.
